Amazing Maize Maze

The idea of the Maize Maze is deceptively simple; a fun educational family day out in a beautiful countryside setting, with an intriguing challenge for you to solve.

What are the Secrets of the Maze?

On your journey into the three graded mazes there are questions and riddles to be solved and prizes for children with the correct answers!

We want you to enjoy your time with us and our friendly staff are on hand to ensure your day is both memorable and fun.

Welcome to stay all day

Our large picnic area, which overlooks the traditional farm pond, is a secluded area surrounded by trees and the local wildlife - our oasis to make your perfect day!

The Maze

The maize seed is sown in May and we then create the actual maze which covers some 30 acres and is based on agricultural themes, last year including the bulls head, a tractor and maize corn stems. This year our theme will again have an agricultural design, with the added benefit of a picnic area in the maize, well deserved when experiencing the heat of last year. There will be three graded mazes with times based from 30 minutes up to 2 ½ hours of exploring and of course getting lost, it’s inevitable! The additional benefit of the maize is that it is grown as a feed. It’s harvested in November and fed to our beef herd throughout the winter period. Maize is a very good source of starch for our cattle – they love it!
